I found funny this exercise of framing the City of Almada in a piece of the Almada the artist. i took a series of 3 pictures posting here the first one.

Tower of Belem

This next series was also posted before on facebook and its one of my favourite spots to photograph people its the tower of Belem in Lisbon and is always crowded with tourists. Sometimes almost became a beach inside the town.

Belem

This was a serious of pictures previous posted on Facebook. They were taken in Belem and mostly shows the tourist spot and surroundings.

Ray of Light

Sometimes i find a spot and i wait until i get someone interesting in the pic was what happened in this picture i was under the Rua Augusta Arch i saw this ray of light on the wall so i waited and did a few pictures there. The place was crowded but i managed to get only one person in the frame.

New City

Lisbon changed and for the better in my opinion the changes started in 1998 with the Lisbon World Exposition and the oriental part of town renovation. My studio is near by i also lived near and when i was younger i couldn't saw the other side of the river cause of the smog caused by a refinery since 98 the air became clear and now i can see has far has Palmela. Almost like that old grey city had became a sunny happy one. In the last few years with tourists all year i feel the same joy i felt in Expo 98.

Sunday at Ribeira das Naus

I drive by Ribeira das Naus several times a week but last Sunday was the first time i walked there and once again i realise how lucky i am to live in a place like Lisbon i only wish it was a better place to work too but guess we can't have it all.

The Art of Contemplation

Has i was taking pictures at Cais das Colunas i notice a dress almost like a child´s dress that caught my eye i went back and forward then i noticed this asian girl who was wearing the dress she looking at the horizon for a long time like she was in a frozen time moment contemplating the view still interested in the dress i took the picture.

Sad News

Last night i took notice that an Artist i knew passed away the news come has a belly punch i didn't know he was ill. That should make us think what are we doing in this place and do what we really like to do thats what can make our lives better and thats what we are gonna be remembered for.

Near the Golden hour

Its always great shooting near the golden hour but always came with a twist since soon there will be no light and unless you go further to night captions your day is over guess if you go way north you can have a golden hour for days but that must be kinda disturbing too.

Ribeira das Naus

Tomorrow i go to Ribeira das Naus to photograph properly i have many pictures taken at Ribeira das Naus but they were all taken from the car while driving by on my way to school like the one in this post so tomorrow im going there.

Then came the Autumn

I need to start liking the Autumn, on a post a few days ago on Facebook with a friend i said the year starts for me in the Autumn when i was young was the back to school so it was another year now that i teach i still feel the same its a new cycle. But i could live happily we just Spring and Summer.

Departure

Before that feeling of saying goodbye when someone went away was strange and made be feel nostalgic. Nowadays most of my friends are abroad and away but i don't feel that way anymore i think social media has break that distance sometimes i wish i had been born 30 years later.

Suddenly last Sunday

I like when i found people displayed in a space in a organised way so sometimes i feel lucky to find them that way that happened last Sunday.

Pontevedra

Has these theme vacations were the children i took this one in Pontevedra that always a stop on my vacations.

Vigo Samil

Every time i go to Vigo i like to walk in Samil beach boardwalk this picture was taken in August in one of those walk the beach had many people but i found this spot that almost looked like a desert beach

Valença

Same day has the last post i had lunch in Valença where the fort is an amazing construction full of layer walls its like a city inside of a city.

Monção

i wish i had been faster in this picture and the walking girl were a few steps behind camera went to sleep so i had to turn it on guess i didn't took much pictures in Monção thats why it happened.

Santa Luzia

I had to make this post only about Santa Luzia since is one of my favourite places to photograph where i go every year and always find there a photographer that takes pictures there too he is there taking pictures for 70 years this kind man is in Santa Luzia since it was built and its always a pleasure to find him there year after year.

Viana do Castelo vacations 2016
